Greater New Victory Women’s Department was established in 1978 in Seattle, Washington by Apostle Lawrence Gray; who that year appointed Evangelist Rosie Gray as the President and Supervisor of the Women’s Department. Evangelist Gray presided over all of the auxiliaries in the Women’s Department. The first auxiliaries were the Y.W.C.C., Sunshine Band, Mother’s Board, and Purity Class.

With weekly classes taught by Evangelist Gray, the Woman’s Department began to flourish, hosting its first Women’s Luncheon and Fashion Show in 1980 and in 2006, its 26th Annual Luncheon. This event proved to be one of the highlights of the Women’s Department. With the presentation of its first workshops and seminars in 1984, the department was sent in a greater direction of teaching and training. The women of Greater New Victory began to witness door to door and it became a very exciting time of development and growth.

In 1991 the Women’s Department sponsored its first Annual Women’s Conference. This year they celebrated their 16th Annual Conference. They have hosted some of the greatest gospel singers and evangelists in the country. To name some: Betty Ramsey Nelson, Sara Jordan Powell, Natalie Green, La Barbara Whitehead, Gloria Smith, Jesse Stewart, Gwen Amey, Earnestine Cleveland Reems Thomas, and many others. With workshops and anointed speakers, the President’s Luncheon, and an anointed message from the conference President that concludes the conference every year, both women and men leave excited and refreshed with a deeper determination to hold on to do a work for the Lord.

Because of the Women’s Ministry and Evangelist Gray, many individuals have been led into ministry. Evangelists, Prophets, Prayer Warriors, Administrators, Financiers, Teachers and Singers have all been birthed and polished through the teaching agents of the Greater New Victory Women’s Department.
