Statement of Purpose

We believe that one of the greatest commissions given us by Jesus is to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every soul and that He has informed us that greater works we shall do because He goes to the Father. So it is our job, through the ministry of reaching out, to disciple individuals for the work of the Lord. We endeavor to do this through the outreach ministry of our Feed-A-Kid program, daycare, single ladies’ home, and after-school program.

We believe that the earlier you touch a child’s life, the more indelible an impression you make. So we reach first for the children through our preschool program. Give us your child in preschool/daycare and we will give back a productive citizen who will make an impression within their community and eventually touch the world. GNV Preschool

The preschool utilizes Montessori Theory in its approach to education. The care the Montessori system of training young children is based upon three fundamental truths regarding the nature of young children:

  1. Children are different and need the greatest possible liberty to grow.
  2. Children must learn for themselves in order to grow. The impulse to learn comes from within
  3. Under conditions children enjoy educating themselves more the anything else.

These principles are applied in a very logical way. To fit her system of education to the child.

Learning Indirect Preparation

It is only possible to learn and observe what you already have within you. The best way of learning is by preparing in one stage for the skills which will be necessary in the next stage. Much of this preparation is done in an indirect manner. The idea of indirect preparation is fundamental to the whole theory of the Montessori method of education. It has analyzed each ability the child needs into its component parts and has presented them in an attractive manner to the child.

Important to the Montessori system is the environment. It is commonly, and rightly so, called the “prepared environment.” The first aim of the prepared environment is to help the child grow to be independent. For total child development the environment must contain elements which will satisfy his basic needs and tendencies.

Our goal is to assist the child to develop their own personality, adapted to their particular time and place with a view toward functioning independently as a cooperative member of society. So we must help the child learn to cope with life, face reality, and live according to the basic laws of life. In other words, we must help him adapt. Using this approach, with a biblical foundation of Godly principles we can only be successful in our endeavor.
